The firm is currently composed of four(4) legal practitioners, a secretary and a clerk coherently working together as a team for the achievement of the firm’s goals
MANYARA MAVIS MUSARA
Managing Partner
Mavis holds a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree (LLBS) from the University of Zimbabwe obtained in 2003. Soon after obtaining the degree, she joined the then Ministry of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary affairs in October 2003. In October 2004, she then moved into private practice and joined a few law firms, holding the position of a partner since 2011.
She then formed Musara Legal Practice in 2019 and admitted two colleagues into partnership in July 2021. This admission of partners led to the change of name to Musara Mupawaenda and Mawere Legal Practitioners. Mavis is currently the Managing Partner.
Her work experience currently spans over 18 years in various legal aspects though she has bias towards construction law, commercial law, conveyancing and notarial work.
She is also a holder of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) having graduated in November 2020.

BARBARA KUDZAYI MUPAWAENDA
Partner
Barbara is a holder of a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree from the University of Zimbabwe obtained in 2003.She also holds a Master in Business Administration.
She started off in the Ministry of Justice as a Prosecutor and had a brush with international relations as a multilateral legal officer in the Multilateral Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Thereafter she worked in various law firms as a Professional Assistant before starting their own partnership in 2011 and joining Musara Mupawaenda & Mawere legal practitioners.
Her strength lies in Commercial law, Family Law and Conveyancing and Notarial work.

KENNETH MAWERE
Partner
Kenneth is a duly admitted legal practitioner in the courts of Zimbabwe since 2009.
He is a holder of a Bachelor of Laws Honours from the University of Zimbabwe and he is also a registered Agent with the Real Estate Council of Zimbabwe. He has worked for Madanhi and Mugadza Legal Practitioners and Dururu & Associates amongst others as a Professional Assistant.
Kenneth is an experienced Labour Lawyer whose keen interests also extend to Commercial law, Litigation and Conveyancing.

GODFREY SIMBARASHE UNZEMOYO
Associate
Godfrey completed his Bachelor of Laws Honours in 2003 at Fort Hare University, South Africa. He joined Ministry of Justice in 2004 as a Magistrate and rose through the ranks to become a Provincial Magistrate. He was duly admitted as a legal practitioner of the High Court of Zimbabwe in 2008. In 2011 he graduated with a Master of Laws in Constitutional and Human Rights Litigation from University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
In 2016 he was promoted to the post of a Deputy Registrar of the High Court of Zimbabwe. In 2019 he was transferred to the Administrative Court as a Registrar. Late 2019 he resigned from Judicial Service Commission to join private practice and worked for Sheshe & Mutonono Legal Practitioners as well as Manyurureni & Company. Godfrey has experience in Criminal and Civil law. He also has an interest in Constitutional, Human rights, Labour and Commercial law.
